SINKS FAQs

Anupam sinks are warranted for one year from the date of purchase against any manufacturing defect on normal residential use only. No warranty will stand if used in a commercial area.

Acid, toilet cleaners, or any alkaline cleaners can harm the surface of the sink. Using any of these will void the warranty.

Satin finish is available.

It's extremely important because it absorbs sound, protects against condensation and helps maintain sink water temperature. All Anupam sinks are spray-coated with exclusive undercoating. With our Sound Guard Undercoating, available on all models, an additional sound-deadening pad is applied before spraying.

This is completely a matter of personal preference. Do you like the "finished" look of the raised rim of a top mount sink? Our top mount design helps keep water off the countertop. Or you may prefer the trim, clean, uncluttered look of an under mount sink. With Anupam, you'll have many choices in both sink styles.

Lay a straight edge across the top surface of the sink rim. Then use a ruler to measure the distance between the bottom edge of the straight edge and bowl bottom, as close to the drain as possible.

Bowl depth, taper and radius are the three basic sink measurements for comparing sink sizes. Depth, of course, is the distance from the top of the rim to the bottom of the sink next to the drain. Bowl taper is the inward slope of each side of the sink from rim to bottom. Radius is the measure of the bowl's corners & bottoms where the sides and bottom meet. The point to remember is this: the deeper the bowl, the straighter the slope, the smaller the radius, the more useful the sink capacity.

Consider how you use your sink. If you have a big family and prepare most meals at home, the bigger and deeper, the better. If you do a lot of entertaining or extensive food preparation, consider a sink with a built-in work surface. For a lot of pots and pans, make sure your new sink is deep enough with at least one large bowl for washing. The Anupam collection includes a wide variety of sink shapes, sizes and configurations designed to meet your needs exactly.

It is very important. The thicker the steel, the less susceptible it is to denting, bowing, noise transmission and the hard knocks of pots and pans. The thickness, called "gauge", can be confusing at first, because the lower the number, the thicker the steel.

Yes. That's why some steel sinks look bright and shiny at first, but soon rust or corrode. Therefore, the premium-grade steel we select for our high-end residential sinks is stainless steel Type 304. It combines chromium and nickel in exactly the right proportions for superior corrosion resistance and durability. And it's the blend that allows the sink to be formed into the dramatic shapes you'll find in the Anupam line. You'll also find that this steel "gives'' a little, reducing the chance of dish breakage.

Whether you're building, remodelling, or just sprucing up your kitchen, one big decision will be your choice of a sink. These guidelines are designed to help you make the best choice for your kitchen, for years of durability, working pleasure and high-quality appearance.

Anupam sink will work at least 25 to 30 years in normal residential use in standard conditions.

We do not recommend any colour coating on Kitchen Sinks or Floor Drainers because no coating is long lasting in water usage.

Yes, we can customize the sink in any size or design according to your requirement but only in Prism and Unique series.

YES, you can buy Anupam products from any nearby dealership or from our official experiential centre in Kirti Nagar named ‘Anupam Kitchen’.

We use AISI-316 grade stainless steel in the Signature Series and in the rest of all series we use AISI-304 grade stainless steel.

We use different thickness in different series like in Prism and Unique series we use 1.5mm thickness, in Signature Series we use 1.2mm thickness, in Saga series we use 0.8mm thickness and in all other series we use 1mm thickness.

Here are some tips: Rinse your fixtures thoroughly after every use. Clean all stainless steel fixtures at least once a week. Avoid cleaners containing chloride (bleach), as they can corrode the fixture. Use mild products such as: vinegar, baking soda.

While a double sink needs to be large enough to accommodate two bowls, single bowl sinks can take up relatively little space. Therefore, single bowl sinks are more useful for things like washing large pots or babies, while a double bowl sink has more options when it comes to using the sink.

Install a stainless steel bottom grid in your sink to protect the bowl from scratches. Don't use rubber mats because corrosive chemicals can become trapped between the mat and the sink. Bottom grids allow a free flow of water to keep the bowl clean.

The appearance of minor scratches within the first few weeks of use is absolutely normal and to be expected. Do not be alarmed if small scratches or scuffs appear in your new sink as they are often superficial scratches which will become less noticeable with age.

When the water evaporates it leaves a residue. The residue which dries over the sink's surface turns to a rusty colour giving the appearance of rust. Another common cause of surface rust is chlorides being left on the sink surface. Chlorides are found in many common detergents, soaps, and cleaners.

Among kitchen sinks, those made with stainless steel are durable options. Stainless steel sinks last 15 to 30 years, proper care and maintenance will make your sink last longer.

Cleaning Products You Should Never Use on Stainless Steel

  1. Harsh abrasives.
  2. Scouring powders.
  3. Steel wool.
  4. Bleach and other chlorine products.
  5. Glass cleaners that contain ammonia.
  6. Hard water, (use clean distilled or filtered H2O instead or use water softener)
  7. Oven cleaners.
  1. Visible Wear and Tear. One of the most visible signs is that the sink has some physical damage.
  2. Constantly Repaired. Another reason to replace your sink is that it's always scheduled for repair.
  3. Completely Outdated. Remember when pink and blue sinks were a common trend

Some people feel that placing the sink in the island would make it easier to have a conversation with guests or family members seated at the island or in the adjoining room. However, We usually argue against this. Sinks tend to attract clutter, dirty dishes, and, often, become an area for clean, drying dishes.

To find the litre capacity of a sink, you multiply the length by width by depth (L x W x D) of your sink bowl and divide the answer by 63, which is the cubic volume by inches in a litre. The length is the measurement of the bowl from right to left. The width is the measurement from back to front.

Experts recommend at least 22 to 27 inches in length, which also works for small kitchens and 40 to 50 inches for large kitchens. Although the size of the sink totally depends on your requirement and space. Length is one factor, but you also have to consider the depth of the sink. Kitchen sinks should be at least 8 to 9 inches deep; anything less and your dishes will quickly pile up and reach the faucet.

It's the most popular sink material in homes and commercial  kitchens alike, and for very good reason: stainless steel sinks are durable,  low-maintenance, heat and stain resistant, affordable, and impervious to  chipping and cracking.

Standard taps and spouts generally require a hole of at least 22mm in diameter for single inlet water taps, taking both a hot and cold supply, mostly requiring a 35mm diameter hole.

A sink's minimum cabinet size is a measurement indicating the least amount of under-cabinet and top counter space required for the sink to fit properly.

Position the sink so it is centred on the sink cabinet and is at least 1 1/2 inches back from the countertop's front edge. If your countertop is deeper than 24 inches, place it farther back, but not more than 4 inches.

The recommended size for a base cabinet is 39" or bigger. It is recommended that the size of the sink you are considering to install should be 3" inches or more smaller than your base cabinet size.

To determine the maximum sink size for your base cabinet, measure the interior of your cabinet and subtract two to three inches from each dimension. A 36″ base cabinet can handle a 33″ sink at most; a 30″ cabinet should be fitted with a sink no larger than 27″ wide.

For example, a 36" cabinet can accommodate a 30"-32" sink. Next, measure front to back to find cabinet depth (standard cabinets have a 24" depth). If your countertop has a backsplash, subtract its thickness from this figure. In general, most cabinets can accommodate a sink that is 20 inches front to back.

It's possible for a plumber to make that switch with the sinks without too much trouble, although your sink will have to be out of service for a day or two. Under-mounted sinks are generally held tight against the countertop with mounting clips that are installed beneath the counters. But if the sink is installed between the countertop and lower stone like in sandwich condition which is not recommended then you have to cut the countertop according to your sink size and install a bigger size sink if your cabinet has a space.

If you were to look in the kitchens of most homes, you would find the kitchen sink under an exterior window. Even though there is no general rule that the kitchen sink must be installed under a window, here are six reasons why people have the sink installed in this location:

  1. Kitchen plumbing is easier to install and access
  2. Placing the sink under the windows makes the best use of the entire space.
  3. You gain the benefit of being able to look outside while doing dishes.
  4. You can open the window when washing smelly dishes and get fresh air.
  5. You do not have to worry about turning on lights when using the kitchen sink in the daytime.

Placing a sink under a window has been a common tradition in house building for decades.

FLOOR DRAIN FAQs

Discharge of water in different models in standard conditions is mentioned below:

- Linear Drains: 35-45 LPM ; Tile Insert: 30-35 LPM

- Square Drains: 30-40 LPM ; Tile Insert: 25-30 LPM

- Triangle Drains: 30-35 LPM ; Tile Insert: 25-30 LPM

It depends on the width of the shower area, you are recommended to cover the maximum width of your shower area, i.e. if your shower area width is 40” then you must install a 36” floor drainer.

We do not recommend any colour coating on Floor Drainers because no coating is long lasting in regular soap, detergent or shampoo water.

  • Wait for 15 minutes
  • Clean with a scrubber

Once you've removed the deposits, clean your drainer regularly to prevent the scale from accumulating again. Don't scrub stainless steel with abrasive cleaners or brushes, as this can damage the finish.

Yes, we can customise the drainer in any size or design according to your requirement but with the maximum length of 2400mm.

ACCESSORIES FAQs

1.5 meter

All accessories are warranted for one year against any manufacturing defect.

Use a container, such as an ice cream container or a small bucket, to scoop out as much water as possible; wear gloves to protect your hands. Check the clogged drain for debris, fluff, soap scum and pieces, paste build-up, etc., and remove any debris as best you can.

‍ Push 1 cup of baking soda down the sink drain. Use a spatula to force the baking soda into the opening, if necessary.

‍ Pour 2 cups of vinegar into the drain opening. Put the stopper into the sink so that the vinegar is forced toward the clog.

Wait 15 minutes to allow the solution to work on the clog. Run boiling water into the sink to see if the clog disappears. If the sink is still clogged, then apply the baking soda and vinegar solution again.
